Scrabble Consonant Words

As I mentioned in the post “Scrabble Vowel Words“, word games such as ScrabbleBananagramsUpWords, or Words with Friends are amazing ways to practice your English and learn new English vocabulary words. If you haven’t ever played a word game in English, it might be the thing to take your English to the next level.

If you find that you are only left with consonants for tiles, you will want to know these rare English words that are only made of consonants. You will notice that many of the words are interjections. What is an interjection? It represents a group of words that express emotion and are usually alone in a sentence. Examples include Yikes!, Whoa!, and Buzz!

Here’s the list of consonant-only words for Scrabble and Words with Friends.

  • BRRR – interjection made when cold

  • CWMS – circles
